F all for Chocolate

Here is a fun cake that is delicious, too!  Most applique cakes are done in fondant on a base of fondant - but buttercream is so much more delicious to eat!  So this cake has fondant appliques on a base of soft, delicious European buttercream.

P ecan Pie Cake

Most of the guests at this wedding were vegan, so a delicious Pecan Pie Cake was perfect.  Though the cake normally contains butter, buttermilk, and eggs, we struck a happy medium by using soy milk, vegetable margarine, and free-range eggs.  The filling is a delicious caramel/pecan confection.  

Elegantly colored icing shows off the couple's monogram and light-hearted design.

Chocolate Fantasy

If you both love chocolate, why not?  Of course, many couples do order chocolate cake, pairing it with Vanilla European Buttercream.  But nothing says "delicious" more to a chocolate lover than the look and aroma of this luscious Chocolate Silk icing!

Fern Cake

The power of understatement  clearly shows in this cake "embroidered" with ferns, perfect for the decor at Homewood.  The Deep Dark Chocolate with Chocolate Silk Filling and Vanilla Buttercream Icing was a hit with the guests.
